Vermont resident and nationally renowned land conservation leader, Peter Forbes, brings his expertise in “community conservation” to Door County when he presents the keynote address at the “One Land, Many Voices” celebration at the Door Community Auditorium. “One Land, Many Voices” is a free, community event sponsored by the Door County Land Trust that also features performances by musicians Jeanne Kuhns, MaryBeth Mattson and George Sawyn; Deathfolk’s Jess Holland and Nick Hoover; and Jenny and Robin Bienemann.
The Door County Land Trust is a local, non-profit organization working to protect Door County’s exceptional lands and waters forever. The Land Trust has protected more than 7,000 acres and is supported by more than 2,500 members. Door County Land Trust nature preserves are open to the public at no charge for hiking, cross-country skiing, wildlife observation, some forms of hunting and other low-impact, non-motorized recreational activities.
