After multiple sold-out performances at Woodwalk Gallery last fall, six of Door County’s favorite musicians are coming to DCA for an encore of their hit musical revue Buckets of Rain: The Songs of Bob Dylan. Memphis multi-instrumentalists Eric Lewis and Tommy Burroughs, local folk crooners Katie Dahl and Jeanne Kuhns and bassist-percussionists Rich Higdon and Patrick Palmer lend their talents to this one-night-only tribute to one of America’s most iconic songwriters. The Buckets of Rain crew breathes new life into some of Dylan’s best-known songs, making classic numbers like Mr. Tambourine Man and I Shall Be Released spark and crackle.

Since releasing her debut album in 2005, Brandi Carlile has soared to the top of the Americana music scene with her finely crafted songs and incomparable voice, which swings easily between gentle, honky-tonk twang and fiery, rock-and-roll power. Over the course of her short but meteoric career, Carlile has collaborated with the likes of Shawn Colvin, Elton John and the Indigo Girls. Whether she’s rocking out with her full band or standing tantalizingly close to the edge of the stage, singing a cappella, Brandi Carlile brings a riveting intensity to her live performances.

After opening for Mason Jennings at DCA in 2011, Elephant Revival is back by popular demand! A quintet that is young in both age and conception, Colorado-based Elephant Revival is on the cutting edge of the emerging new genre known as “transcendental folk.” Incorporating elements of Celtic fiddle tunes, psychedelic country songs, reggae grooves, jazz standards and even an occasional hip-hop beat, Elephant Revival’s live performances contain all the electricity of an old-fashioned tent revival. Individually, the band’s members have performed with musical greats like Bela Fleck, Yonder Mountain String Band and George Clinton. Together, they have created what Marquee Magazine calls “a unique and appealing modern acoustic sound simultaneously soaked in all manner of tradition.”
