The traditions of the centuries-old French culture of Upper Louisiana are alive and well in the music of Dennis Stroughmatt & Creole Stomp.  In combination with the Cajun and Zydeco music so closely identified with New Orleans, leader Dennis Stroughmatt & Creole Stomp have traveled across the United States and Canada, entertaining and educating audiences in the traditions of  Louisiana’s bayous and prairies, as well as the sounds of Bourbon Street.  French-speaking Dennis Stroughmatt performs on the accordion and fiddle, accompanied by band members on drums, guitar, bass rub-board, and triangle, creating a “gumbo” of unbeatable Louisiana music.
