Royal Wade Kimes
Friday, October 27, 8:00 pm
Drawing from the rich stories of the outlaws and roughnecks of the Wild West, Royal Wade Kimes sings and writes songs that evoke strong emotions and vivid images. A self-proclaimed “traditional artist," Royal Wade Kimes’ lyrics weave tales of love lost, wild horses, and the lonely life of the cowboy. With a honey-coated voice, Royal Wade Kimes’ style, reminiscent of Johnny Cash’s strength with a hint of Marty Robbins, is earning him a special place in cowboy/western/country music. Tutored by the legendary great Eddy Arnold, Royal Wade Kimes is a two-time recipient of the Academy of Western Artist’s Will Rogers Award. His original song “Bury the Hatchet,” was recorded by Garth Brooks who joined Royal Wade Kimes on his CD “A Dyin’ Breed.”
