Door County Auditorium is a testament to the power of community and the generosity of the 1,200+ donors whose names grace our walls. Nestled within Gibraltar School, our venue has a reputation for offering world-class performing arts, entertainment, and cultural and educational experiences. We delight locals and visitors year-round in an intimate setting at our 736-seat Mainstage, our 150-seat Exchange extension, or our cozy fireside coffeehouse concerts, each brimming with performances, exhibits, movies, lectures, and diverse programming presented by a mix of legendary stage veterans, innovative up-and-comers, beloved regional stars, and student artists—all at accessible ticket prices.

Since 1991, we have hosted unforgettable performances by legends as well as rising stars, community theatre, regional icons, community and student performances, and diverse cultural groups, including Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Bill T. Jones, Joan Baez, Indigo Girls, Alison Krause, Brandi Carlile, Gordon Lightfoot, Chris Thile and Béla Fleck, Don McLean and Judy Collins, as well as rising stars who hit DCA’s stage before they were famous, such as The Lumineers, Josh Turner, Molly Tuttle, Charlie Crockett, Sierra Hull, and more.

Through our education-driven “Passport Program”—which brings diverse international acts to our stage and local classrooms—we’ve been exposed to a rich tapestry of global art: The African Children’s Choir, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Alash Tuvan Ensemble, American Indian Dance Theatre, Ko-Thi Dance, Peking Acrobats, Yamato Taiko Drummers, Ballet Hispánico, Tartan Terrors, Different Drums of Ireland, and more.

DCA also hosts community organizations, including the acclaimed Peninsula Music Festival, Northern Sky Theatre, Gibraltar band, choir, and theater productions, village historical foundations, and local churches. Nestled in the northern corner of Fish Creek, the Link Gallery of Children’s Art bridges the DCA’s community stage and the local K-12 public school, and features artwork made by Door County students. This fall, we added music lessons in guitar, voice, ukulele, and piano to our programming for students of all ages, and partnered with Boys & Girls Club to offer a safe, creative, diverse space for after-school care.

DCA’s recent expansion project, The Cramer Exchange, amplifies community connections through free concerts by local musicians, patio performances, access to studio space, flexible stages, practice rooms, and a recording studio. We opened this new space in 2026 as we celebrated our 35th anniversary.

The Cramer Exchange is DCA’s new gathering hall, second venue, education center, and administration hub. The performance hall complements the existing auditorium and provides a more intimate setting for a wide variety of events. The patio, bar, and fire ring offer a physical invitation to share music, drinks, and stories. The entire complex supports learning, deep listening, dancing, and breaking bread with its flexible and thoughtful amenities. And, the education wing will plant seeds for the future.
